About

First United Bank of Hopkins County opened for business in Madisonville, Kentucky on March 29, 1996. At that time, a group of local business people had a dream of creating a community bank to compete with the big banks that had moved into the market. It was the first bank chartered in Hopkins County since 1907.

Over the years, First United Bank of Hopkins County grew and profited every year. In 2005, the name was changed to First United Bank and Trust Company, as a trust department was added to the ever expanding list of services offered. Today we are still a community bank, but not a typical community bank. We pride ourselves in offering the latest technology and products to our customers, just like the big banks, but with one huge difference. We have the local customer service to back them up.
